JULIA HARTMEYER is an architect and spatial designer based in Berlin. Her approach is driven by a curiosity for spatial storytelling and the transformative potential of design. Her work is often rooted in material exploration, combining a strong conceptual framework with an intuitive, hands-on approach to making. Rather than treating architecture and design as fixed disciplines, she interested in their intersections, in spaces that can operate somewhere between functional environment, stage, installation, and image.

She holds academic qualifications from RWTH Aachen and University of Arts in Berlin. She has gained professional experience at Tanja Lincke Architekten, Bureau N, and Nick & Partner Architekten before she established herself as a freelance architect and set designer after graduation. Her work has been exhibited in Neue Nationalgalerie, culterim gallery and the nGbk. As a set designer and architect she is working both freelance and at Studio Alibi GmbH and has been designing and building spatial concepts for brands like  OBS, Acronym, MSCHF, Malaika Raiss, Alpha Industries, Vitra, Rimowa, Mercedes Benz, SOREL, New Balance and adidas as well as for several commercial campaigns, music videos and events. She has designed and co-designed furniture pieces for ANTI Space and Forma Gallery.
